Bob Fais was born in Selonika and moved to Mexico before moving to the United States and settling in the Raritan Valley area.

He was the husband of Victoria Naar, one of the daughters of Rabbi Benjamin Naar, the first rabbi of Congregation Etz Ahaim. For years he was the long time chazzan of our congregation. Many of the tunes we use today were originally sung by Bob Fais.

Bob Fais was known as a warm and loving presence at Congregation Etz Ahaim. We share these recordings of Bob Fais with you in remembrance of this man and what he had brought to our Congregation.
