By Jewish law, before a community can build a synagogue -- or even open a school, building a mikvah must come first.
This is why renovations of the Park Mikvah are so vital to our community, and why we must make sure the funds are there in order for renovations to the Park Mikvah be completed on time and as soon as possible.
This is why the entire Highland Park Jewish community will make raising the needed funds for the renovation a major effort in the coming months. A major fund rasing effort is being made for Sunday, March 19th. There will be representatives in the various minyanim to help raise money. A phone bank is being established to help solicit funds. Everything is being done to help reopen the Park Mikvah as a centerpiece of our community.
You don't have to wait to be contacted in order to help out. The Park Mikvah has on its website almost 20 separate dedication opportunities you can sponsor to show your support for this project. A special Chesed Fund page has been setup to accept regular donations to the Park Mikvah. And, you can make a donation via PayPal. Whether it's a $18 donation or a $180,000 dedication opportunity, your support will be greatly appreciated. A renovated Park Mikvah will help establish the reputation of our community as a strong and growing Jewish community, and will help our community to continue to grow and prosper.
